Terms of Use
By using BIDA, you agree to the following:
1. Use of BIDA – BIDA connects buyers and sellers through RFQs, product listings, auctions, Hot Deals, tenders, jobs, and other services.
2. Accurate Information – Users must provide accurate personal/business information and keep their account details updated.
3. RFQs & Quotations – Buyers are responsible for accurate RFQs. Sellers are responsible for accurate prices, specifications, availability, and other information in their quotations. Seller quotations remain private from other sellers.
4. Transactions – BIDA facilitates connections but, unless specifically stated, is not the buyer or seller in transactions. Users are responsible for agreeing on payment, delivery, warranties, taxes, and other commercial terms.
5. Products & Services – Users must not advertise or sell illegal, counterfeit, stolen, fraudulent, or prohibited products.
6. Verification – A BIDA verification badge indicates that applicable verification checks were completed; it does not guarantee a user's future conduct, financial position, products, or performance.
7. Social & User Content – Users are responsible for content they post and must not publish unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, misleading, or infringing content.
8. Auctions, Jobs & Tenders – Users must follow the specific rules applicable to auctions, job postings, and tenders. BIDA does not guarantee employment, contracts, or tender awards.
9. Prohibited Activities – Fraud, impersonation, fake accounts, manipulation, hacking, harassment, unauthorized data collection, and other unlawful activities are prohibited.
10. Fees – Some BIDA services may be free while premium services such as promotions, featured listings, verification, subscriptions, or other services may carry fees.
11. Payments – Where payment services are introduced, additional payment terms will apply. Third-party payment providers may also have their own terms.
12. Privacy – Personal information is handled according to BIDA's Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection laws.
13. Intellectual Property – BIDA's name, logo, software, design, and technology belong to BIDA/Transverse or their licensors and may not be copied or misused without authorization.
14. Account Suspension – BIDA may suspend or terminate accounts involved in fraud, violations of the Terms, security risks, or unlawful activities.
15. Platform Availability – BIDA aims to provide reliable services but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
16. User Disputes – Buyers and sellers are primarily responsible for resolving their commercial disputes, subject to any dispute-resolution services provided by BIDA.
17. Liability – To the extent permitted by law, BIDA is not responsible for losses caused by users, products, suppliers, buyers, deliveries, or independent third-party services.
18. Changes to Terms – BIDA may update these Terms as the platform develops. Updated Terms will be made available to users.
19. Governing Law – The Terms are governed by applicable laws of Tanzania, subject to applicable legal requirements.
